Hi Kindergarten Families,

I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten again this year!  Here is a little about me:

I grew up in Roeland Park, Kansas-about 25 minutes from here.  I attended Shawnee Mission Schools.  I have been married to my husband, Jeff for 24 years.  We have 2 boys (Jack-16 and Josh-13.I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1993.  I was a substitute teacher for Olathe and Shawnee Mission, and also worked in the library at Washington Elementary in Olathe.  I left education to be a training manager for a local retail store.  I did that for 5 years, and decided I missed working with kids.  I eased back into the education field by working at Aldersgate Preschool.  Before I started working at LVE I was a substitute in the Blue Valley School District for 2 years. 

This is my 7th year at LVE.  I am really looking forward to a great year of learning and growing with your children.  Kindergarten is such an important year!  You will be amazed at how much your children grow both academically and socially.
