MEET MRS. JETER

Welcome to 4th Grade.  I am excited to be at Oak Hill and would like to tell you a bit about myself.  I have been teaching in the Overland Park area for 19 years.  I started my teaching career as a Kindergarten teacher and my most recent teaching position was at as a Middle School math teacher at Queen of the Holy Rosary.  I think that 4th grade will be the perfect fit as it is exactly in the middle of those 2 grades.

My husband Jim and I have lived in Kansas for 20 years and are the proud parents of 3 grown daughters.  My daughters are all products of an Oak Hill education - coming here to teach has felt like coming home!  My oldest daughter Brittany,graduated from the University of Kansas,  is married to Adam Belsly, lives in Overland Park and is a stay at home mother to our grandsons, Henry and Jimmy.  Middle daughter Kelsey, is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with her masters from the University of Kansas, is married to Price Duncan, recently moved to Oklahoma City and is a registered dietician.   My youngest daughter, Heather, is a graduate of the University of Missouri and works for Expedia travel in Chicago.  My husband , Jim is a regional sales manager for a cardiovascular sales company.

I am a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and received my teaching degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.  In my free time, I love to read, spend time with my family (especially my grandsons) and entertain.  I am looking forward to my year at Oak Hill Elementary!
