Dr. Annette Sauceda

Hello Heartland Jaguars! My name is Annette Sauceda and I am your proud principal. The 2024-25 school year marks my 22nd year in education and my 14th year in administration.

I was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia and earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees at West Virginia University. I then moved to Orlando, Florida and taught for three years before moving to Overland Park in 2006. I began my career in Blue Valley as a math teacher, School Improvement Specialist, Administrative Intern, Assistant Principal and now Principal. In 2007, I attended Baker University to receive my Administration license and completed my Doctorate in Educational Leadership in May 2017.

My husband, Tony, and I have 15-year-old twin boys, Miles & Keenan who will be 10th graders at Blue Valley West High School this year.  We also have two miniature dachshunds, Minnie and Oliver. Being an educator helps me be a better mom, and being a mom helps me be a better educator. We are ALL in this together!
