JUNIOR THESPIANS
Here at PRMS ALL students 6th-8th grade may participate in this amazingly fun Club!
We play Improv games, learn more about acting, ourselves and each other, but most importantly we have fun and make new friends!
Students involved in our Theatre Program are also eligible to join our International Jr. Thespian Honor Society!
You earn points by being in shows and other Theatre activities. When you earn 10 points you may apply to become an official member.
You will be inducted then into Jr. Thespians receiving a certificate, pin, bumper sticker and your name added to our official membership list!
In high school you get to take 5 of your points with you which will get you half way to becoming a full member in high school! Becoming a member there brings you a wonderful Honor to put on your resume and you even wear honor cords at graduation!
Please consider joining us for this fun club on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3-3:30pm before rehearsals begin. (There are no Jr. Thespian Meetings during Audition, Tech and Show Week). When we aren’t in rehearsals (between shows and after the musical for example).
Come and Join the Fun! It’s a great way to have fun and make new friends!

DEBATE CLUB
Each spring, PRMS teams up with the Blue Valley West Debate Team for a middle school debate club. West debaters work with PRMS students to teach them the basics of debate, help them research a topic, write evidence cards, and prepare their arguments. In April, we hold debates during club time in a tournament format.

FALL PLAY
This is a fabulous way to get involved in Theatre! Whether as a Chef/Server/Artist, Tech Crew Member or Actor there are many opportunities to be a part of this amazing experience, learn more about theatre, yourself, being a part of an ensemble and making new friends! We do a Dessert Theatre, where the Chef/Server/Artist create the centerpieces and all decorations, make all the Desserts and then Serve them to our guest at each performance. The Tech Crew gets to help build and paint the set, run the show with the lights, sound, backstage set and props and can help with make-up, hair and costumes too! Here at the Ridge if you are in Theatre…you are part of our family!

SPRING MUSICAL
We couldn’t be more thrilled to be bringing this beautiful Disney story to our stage this spring! We have SO much talent that we knew we had to do something big! Being a part of the musical is an absolutely magical experience. From auditions to closing night…you will get to be a part of the wonderment that is Theatre. As we put the production together piece by piece, acting, dancing, singing, set, props, lights, costumes, hair & make-up and a big dash of live music and you have something oh so magical to be a part of with your friends…now Theatre Family!
The cool thing about both productions is that all you have to do is sign up! There are no cuts! We bring in professionals from our community to help teach you all the aspects of a theatre program and you learn so much being a part of it. You learn about Theatre, building confidence, relationships, learning to communicate well, collaboration and most of all make more new friends as you become even closer to the ones that are already in our Theatre Family.
Theatre at The Ridge….Building Friendships that last a lifetime!
