GROWTH EDUCATION AND REFLECTION

  • Special education services for students K-12 who are struggling with social emotional regulation or behavioral regulation within the general educational environment.  Placement is decided by the IEP team.  The goal is to get the student back to a traditional school setting to learn academically and socially among their general education peers.  The process and length of time spent at GEAR will be different for every student.

Academics are a mix of online and direct instruction guided by a certified teacher, social worker, school psychologist and behavior specialists. GEAR is not a therapeutic setting. Students have the opportunity to work in one-on-one and in small group settings.  We use a mix of ABA and Trauma Informed Care as our behavior protocol.
