BVH congratulates the Tiger Students who were recognized by the Arts Council of Johnson County at the 2024 Shooting Stars Gala held at Johnson County Community College.
Arts and creativity are essential to every student’s educational experience and The Shooting Stars Program celebrates student artists and their arts educators with recognition, college scholarships and teacher honorariums. Shooting Stars has recognized over 1,000 high school seniors for their artistic excellence and contributions to their community since 1997!
The following students were recognized at the 2024 Shooting Stars Recognition Gala:
- Audrey Hart (2D Art)
- Geremi Onentia (3D Art)
- John Hudson (Photography)
- Harrison Jones (Literature)
- Eddy Jiang (Strings)
A special congratulation goes to senior Harrison Jones, whose masterful short fiction pieces “One Wedding and One Funeral” and “Lover of the Sun” won him first place (and $1,400 in scholarship money) in the Arts Council’s literature category.
