Dianne Dunn is a graduate of Blue Valley High School. She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas in 1989 and 1996 respectively. With 20 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Dunn began her career in Blue Valley. From 1990 – 1998, she enjoyed teaching at Blue Valley North High School. In 1998, a job opportunity for her husband moved her family to Arizona for seven years. During this time she continued her teaching, primarily for Mesa Public Schools at Taylor Junior High School and Mountain View High School.
In 2005, the family had the opportunity to move back to Kansas. Mrs. Dunn was excited to return to the Blue Valley district as a teacher at BVN (2005-2010).
During her career, she has experience teaching Chemistry, Biology, Honors Biology, Field Biology, Zoology, and Anatomy & Physiology. As part of the BVSW science department, Mrs. Dunn is excited to teach Field Biology, Zoology, Honors Biology and Biology! In addition, she will serve as the prom coordinator and junior class sponsor. Mrs. Dunn is looking forward to being a timberwolf!
Mrs. Dunn is married to Bill Dunn; they have two daughters, Alexandra “Alex” (BVSW class of 2013) and Brooklyn (class of 2025). She enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing at the family cabin in Colorado, trout fishing, reading, and shopping.
