KNIGHLY NEWS FROM MRS. CROSTHWAIT: Welcome to Oxford Middle School! We are a community of learners committed to helping students learn beyond expectations! Oxford Middle School is bursting with the energy of our 643 students as we work our way through the first quarter of the 2010-2011 school year. Our athletic teams, clubs, Student Council, and intervention programs are all revving up to provide the support to help our students grow in so many ways. Our A.S.K. (Academically Successful Knights) program begins on Thursday, Sept. 9 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Students can choose to go to the Math Lab in the 8th grade pod where they can receive individualized help from Math teachers and paras OR to the library where teachers and paras will be able to assist in all curricular areas. This program takes place each Wednesday and Thursday after school. Don't forget, it's your P.T.A. funds that subsidize our Late Bus that runs after our A.S.K. programs. Our before-school program will begin Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 6:45-7:35 in room 3. We urge you to check our on-line grading program, BV Parent Assist, often with your child. It's a great way for you to be able to celebrate your child's academic strengths and address the challenges together. Our first Progress Report will be available on BV Parent Assist at the mid-quarter mark, Sept. 17. Progress Reports are only available on-line.
