Homework

~A reading log will be sent home with S.T.A.R folders every night.  Please read at least 15-20 minutes at night and record in the log.

~First grade sight words will be going home with your child if they need extra practice with them.  We will also be sending home a Kindergarten sight word list with words they still need to practice.

~Our building reading teacher, Mrs. Gessley, has some wonderful resources for you to check out on her website.  You can visit it by clicking here!

~Spelling will begin in September.  Their list of words come home on Fridays in the STAR folder.  Spend the week practicing those words, and your little student will have a test over them on Friday Mornings.

~Math homework goes home on Fridays and is due by the following Friday.  Please take your time completing the work.  It is more important for them to understand, than to rush to turn it in!

~Your child can also practice their addition and subtraction up to 20 at home.

~Homework will be coming home for spring break!
