The Blue Valley School District supports full state funding for all excess costs of special education services.

This priority matters because each year, Blue Valley must redirect up to $13.7 million from funds for educators and operations to cover excess special education costs. Without full funding, Blue Valley must divert resources from general education programs, impacting all students. Adequate special education funding ensures that all students, regardless of their needs, receive the individualized instruction and support required to succeed.
