CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION COMMITTEE

  • ABOUT THE COMMITTEE

     

    The goal of the Board of Education Curriculum and Instruction Committee is to provide the Blue Valley School District with a resource of knowledgeable and interested teachers, administrators and parents who would be willing to raise and study topics, review teacher revised curriculum, and make recommendations that will benefit each student, individually, and all students, collectively, by improving curriculum and instruction in the district.

     


    COMMITTEE OBJECTIVES

     

    • Suggest topics of study concerning curriculum, instruction and educational programs to the Blue Valley Board of Education and administration.

    • Participate in formal studies about curriculum, instruction and educational programs as assigned by the Blue Valley Board of Education and administration.

    • Make recommendations to the Blue Valley Board of Education and administration about curriculum, instruction and educational programs (based on information learned from extensive studies) that will maximize learning opportunities for each individual student to reach his/her fullest potential.

    • Learn about Blue Valley curriculum, instruction and educational programs.

    • Raise questions about curriculum, instruction and educational programs that are being asked by Blue Valley patrons and staff.

    • Share with community and staff information that is learned about Blue Valley curriculum, instruction and educational programs.

  • Meetings are held in the Board of Education Room, at the Blue Valley District Office, 15020 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS 66223, from 4 - 5:30 p.m.
