• The Facility Planning Committee examines and evaluates boundary alternatives and recommends options for a comprehensive boundary master plan to the Board of Education. This committee, composed of patrons, Board of Education members and district staff, typically meets every two years to review projected facility registrations and recommend boundaries for schools and on an as-needed basis. The committee will also meet when the district is opening new school facilities.

After a comprehensive evaluation in October 2020, the Facility Planning Committee recommended no changes to the current configuration of schools and boundaries. The evaluation included a review of Boundary Criteria and Blue Valley’s 5 Year Projections. The committee also discussed the opening of Elementary 24, currently under construction, as it relates to enrollment projections. Due to the ever changing environment, due to COVID-19’s impact on the community, the committee will consider reconvening in Spring 2021.
