Positive/Negative Snowmen

In art class, the 3rd grade students have been studying the element of art Space. They learned that positive space is the space that an object actually takes up, and that negative space is the space around it. Shapes and images can often be seen in both the positive and negative space. They used their knowledge of space to create these wonderful collaged snowmen. Details were added in oil pastel.
