The second grade art classes have been studying texture in art. There are two types of texture used in art. Tactile texture is texture you can feel, like a piece of sand paper or a puppy's fur. Visual texture is texture that you can't feel but can see. It is often used in paintings and drawings. The artists traced the sole of their shoes to start the body of their fish. They then used line and shape to create visual texture for the scales on their fish.
