The 2016-2017 school year is my twelfth year teaching in the Blue Valley School District and at Cedar Hills.  Before becoming a teacher and moving to Overland Park, I was in the business world.  I can truly say that I am finally doing what I love!

I grew up in Parsons, Kansas with two parents as educators.  My husband, Baigh, also grew up in Parsons.  We were reacquainted when we both went back to Pittsburg State University to change our career paths.  We have been married for nine years, we have a 7 year old son, Couper, who is a second grader here at CHE this year, and a 5 year old daughter, Carsyn, who entered Kindergarten at CHE this year.  We enjoy being outdoors, going to movies, spending time with family and friends, and just enjoying each other's company.

I earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Spanish Education from Pittsburg State University.  I have a Masters in Education as a Reading Specialist from PSU, as well as a Masters in Technology with an emphasis in Library Media from PSU.

In our classroom, we will be building a community of learners through the use of the Blue Valley Virtues and teamwork.  The students will not only be learning academics, but also life long learning and collaboration skills.  I am very fortunate to be a part of the Cedar Hills community.  It is a great place to be!
